Jim Lowell, editor of both the Fidelity Investor and Forbes ETF Advisor newsletters, says that the only time most investors should pursue single-country investments is "if there is no other way to benefit from a more diversified approach," and said that rules out most one-country funds with the possible exception of those investing in China. In a radio interview, Lowell encouraged the purchase of both stock and bond funds invested in emerging markets, but said investors ignoring diversification there are likely to get burned.
